Saving a Heart for Super Ben

If you remember back to my one little word it was AUTHOR.  I wanted to be the author of my own story this year.  This is HARD.  It takes a lot of thinking, listening, and deciding what's important and what can wait.

This can't wait.... our beautiful friend and colleague was blessed with twins last June.  One of her twinnies was born pretty healthy but her other has had challenges.  Not just small challenges, big ones. But..... he's a fighter.  He was born with Congenital Heart Disease and just underwent his 4th open heart surgery (he's only 7 months old).  Whew... I don't know how she does it.

As we were listening, we were being pulled, or called if you will, to do something.  We had to do something. We are the authors of our story.  So "Ben Strong" was born.

If you have a moment or two, please read the story about her Super Ben.

If you feel moved to help her family.... we have set up a fundraiser on Bonfire Funds.  Here's the link that includes her story.....  https://www.bonfirefunds.com/saving-a-heart-for-super-ben

What are you being called to do as the author of your story?

  1. My daughter has congenital heart defects and today she is the author of her own dramady!! She is sixteen and her defects don't keep her down at all. She's always hated gym, but never has she used the "I can't do it because of my heart!" card. I've stepped in and told her teachers she can't!! Praying for Ben and thank you for allowing us to be part of his story!

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Ben! And for sharing your story! What a strong girl you have, as well! We are just so happy that we are able to do something to help our friend. You ask and you hope that you can do something, anything. That is one little strong guy :)
