My number 2: 2 GIVEAWAYS!
I am also in TWO giveaways that start today and tomorrow. I have never been in a giveaway before. How exciting!!
Reading Toward the Stars has hit 600 followers. Her giveaway starts today! There are 23 giveaways!
Hippo Hooray for Second Grade has hit 300 followers and tomorrow her giveaway starts. I get to be in this one too!! Yea!!
My number 3: Great Deal
I went to Half Price this week with my little ones. (We love that place.) A teacher must have just dropped off a bunch of books because there were some great books in the clearance section. I found these Easy Reader Biographies. 50 cents each!! There is some great vocabulary in these books.
Number 4: Father's Day
Last year I made this Father's Day sheet. My girls filled it out last year and we did the same this year. It was fun to compare their answers. We will do the same next year. Here is a copy if you would like it.
Thanks to Miss Tiina's fonts. |
My number 5: Swimming
We went swimming for the first time this week. I was amazed at how much more my two little ones could do this year. They grow so fast!
Hope you have a great weekend!
I finally got to make it around to swim for the first time this week too! Sweet summer time : )

An Apple a Day in First Grade
We have been swimming every day this week - except today! Today I am peeling. Even with GOBS of sunscreen I got burnt around my straps - ughhh! You did GOOD at Half Price books - it is always a gamble, but it looks like you found some great books! I will go check out your giveaways!

Oh my!! I don't think it matters what I do...I always always burn. I do not tan. Just straight-up burn. :)
DeleteI got two of those biography books (the president ones) with a social studies sample we received a few years ago. They're informational and first grade appropriate.

You Might Be a First Grader….
Great buy on the biography books! I'm going to have to look for them at my store. I have a few and they are great.

Literacy Spark
Have you used them in your classroom? Do your students enjoy them too?
DeleteSwimming with you little ones is the best. I used to spend hours chasing them around the pool when mine were little. I had older friends with high schoolers and they would all be sitting on chaise lounges reading books. Never thought I'd get there. Now that I'm on the chaise I'd rather be chasing my little boys. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI do really enjoy it. But time seems to go so fast with them! I know I will blink and I will be in the chaise lounge!
DeleteHow fun that you a have group that can collaborate on this blog. With two little ones at home, sharing the responsibilities is a great way to be part of this awesome community.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.
School Is a Happy Place
My little guys love the pool as well. It is so much fun and a bit scary to see my little guys who is 1 trying to do everything my older one is doing, he is 5. Love that we have summer off to experience this time with them. Enjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteBy the way I am your newest follower.
